1. Introduction

Welcome to Pickup Laundry, Dry Cleaning and Linen Services. By placing an order with us through our website, phone call, or email, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging with our services

 

2. Definitions

Service: The laundry, dry cleaning, and linen services provided by Pickup Laundry. Customer: Any individual or entity who uses the services provided by Pickup Laundry.Garments: Any articles of clothing, linen, or textiles submitted for cleaning. Pick-up and Delivery: The collection and return of garments from/to the customer’s provided address.

 

3. Service Agreement

By placing an order for services, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined here. The customer acknowledges that these terms and conditions are subject to change and that the most recent version will apply to all services rendered.

 

4. Pick-up and Delivery

Scheduling: Pick-up and delivery services are scheduled through our website, by phone, or via email. The customer agrees to be present or provide clear instructions for access at the scheduled times.

 Missed Appointments: If the customer is unavailable for the scheduled pick-up or delivery and fails to provide alternative instructions, Pickup Laundry reserves the right to charge a missed appointment fee.

Third-Party Services: In cases where third-party couriers are used, Pickup Laundry is not responsible for delays or issues arising from their services.

 

5. Garment Inspection and Care

Inspection: All garments will be inspected upon receipt. Customers are responsible for informing us of any special instructions or known damage.

Care Labels: Pickup Laundry will follow the care label instructions on each garment. We are not responsible for any damage resulting from care instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Stains: While we aim to remove stains to the best of our ability, we do not guarantee complete stain removal and are not liable for any permanent damage caused by stains.

 

6. Uncollected Items

Collection Period: Customers are responsible for ensuring their items are collected upon delivery. If items remain uncollected for more than 30 days after the agreed delivery date, Pickup Laundry will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer.

Donation to Charity: If items remain uncollected after 30 days and no arrangements have been made, Pickup Laundry reserves the right to donate these items to a local charity without further notice to the customer. By agreeing to these terms, the customer consents to this donation policy and waives any claims or rights regarding the uncollected items.

 

 

7. Limitation of Liability

Loss or Damage: Pickup Laundry’s liability for lost or damaged garments is limited to ten times the charge for cleaning the garment, up to a maximum of AUD 100 per item. Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery.

Inherent Risks: Pickup Laundry is not responsible for damage caused by the inherent weaknesses of garments, including but not limited to, aging, fading, shrinkage, or faulty manufacturing.

Force Majeure: Pickup Laundry will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, acts of God, strikes, or third-party disruptions.

 

8. Customer Responsibilities

Accurate Information: The customer agrees to provide accurate information for billing, pick-up, and delivery. Any incorrect information that leads to service disruptions or additional costs may be charged to the customer.

Garment Readiness: The customer is responsible for ensuring that all items submitted for cleaning are ready for service (e.g., emptying pockets, detaching pins, etc.). Pickup Laundry is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in garments.

 

9. Pricing and Payments

Quotes and Pricing: All service prices are listed on our website and are subject to change. Customers will be provided with a quote upon order confirmation.

Payment Terms: Payment is due upon delivery unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept payments via credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. Any unpaid balances will accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month.

Late Payment and Fees: If a payment is not made on time, Pickup Laundry reserves the right to charge a late fee and suspend services until payment is received.

 

10. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations: Customers may cancel their service up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up. Any cancellations made after this time may incur a cancellation fee.

Refunds: Refunds will only be provided for services that were not completed due to Pickup Laundry’s fault. No refunds will be issued for partially completed services, damaged garments due to manufacturing defects, or inherent risks outlined in Section 6.

 

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Customer Data: Pickup Laundry collects and processes personal data in accordance with Australian privacy laws. The customer’s information will only be used for providing services and will not be shared with third parties without the customer’s consent, except where required by law.

Security: While we take measures to protect your data, Pickup Laundry is not responsible for any unauthorized access to customer information resulting from third-party actions, hacking, or other security breaches.

 

12. Dispute Resolution

Complaints: Any complaints regarding services must be made in writing to hello@pickuplaundry.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. We will investigate and aim to resolve disputes in a timely manner.

Mediation: In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

 

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws Western Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Western Australia

 

13. Modifications

Pickup Laundry reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review the terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
